Day One: I'm here!

After much scheming, planning, crying, packing, and driving have finally I made it to Charlotte in one piece!

I'm not sure how good I'll be at blogging but I figured it was the easiest way to get updates to everyone.  And also perhaps a great way to document my experiences of being immersed in the Southern culture and getting a good dose of Southern Hospitality!

Southern Hospitality ~ Southern hospitality is a phrase used in American English to describe the stereotype of residents of the Southern United States as particularly warm and welcoming to visitors to their homes, or to the South in general.

My first experience with this comes from the my cousins (The Kids) who have generously let me and my cat, Autumn, (temporarily) move into their house with them, their dog, Eli, and "Harvey".  Being that I don't yet have a full-time job (or a boyfriend, or permanent housing - for those wondering and I know you are...), my cheap monthly rent initially will be paid in the currency of cookies, brownies, and some "Jessi's Delicious Dinners".  If that isn't Southern Hospitality, I don't know what is!

A big THANKS goes out to The Kids!
